If you have faith, your dreams will come true.

With the avex World Audition close at hand, "alan" from China agreed to do an interview!

インタビュー

-- What made you want to become a professional singer?

I always dreamed of going pro. My mother was a Tibetan folk singer, so it was natural for me to want to sing. I have always respected J-Pop and then I passed the avex china audition.

-- When you decided to go pro, were there any hurdles that you had to overcome to actually become a professional singer?

I was just a regular university student up until now, so I have just started to think and act as though I am a professional singer. Studying Japanese and learning Japanese pronunciation has been really difficult.

-- How did you overcome those hurdles? Where they more difficult that you had thought?

They were pretty difficult (laughs), especially the everyday training. I tried to speak as much Japanese as possible without worrying about making mistakes.

-- Is there a part of the Japanese entertainment world that makes you think, “This is great!”?

Everyone has real professional awareness and they work painstakingly hard at their jobs. There are so many people who aren’t just content with whether they are selling or they’ve made a name for themselves, they keep striving.

-- Do you have any particular advice for foreigners who want to be successful in Japan?

Try speaking a lot of Japanese, and don’t be afraid of making mistakes! Folding your arms and crossing your legs is bad manners!
